Terms of Service

"Platform" refers to the egimpex.com website and all associated services. "Supplier" refers to any Egyptian company (factory, producer, exporter) that creates an account to offer its products. "Buyer" refers to any company (importer, wholesaler, distributor) that creates an account to search and contact suppliers. "Account" refers to a user's personal space on the Platform. "Content" refers to product listings, photos, descriptions, certifications, company profiles and messages exchanged via the Platform.

Registration on the Platform implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the GDPR notice. egimpex reserves the right to modify these terms at any time; any substantial change will be notified by email to affected users at least 30 days before it takes effect.

egimpex is a B2B marketplace that connects Egyptian suppliers with international buyers. The Platform provides: (a) a directory of verified company profiles (KYB), (b) a multilingual product catalog with search, (c) a private messaging and Request For Quotation (RFQ) system, (d) order and incoterm tracking, (e) international SEO and marketing infrastructure. egimpex is a technical intermediary that facilitates connections: we are in no way a party to the commercial contracts entered into between buyers and suppliers.

Registration is reserved for legal entities (companies). The user agrees to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information, and to keep it current. Each account is strictly personal and may not be shared. The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and for any activity carried out from their account.

egimpex operates on a SaaS subscription model with three plans: Free (€0/month, exploration), Pro (€14.99/month, active seller) and Premium (€39/month, KYB Gold + advanced features). Zero commission is ever charged on commercial transactions between buyers and suppliers. Every new account accesses full Pro without a credit card; switching to a paid mode happens at your own pace through the secure Stripe portal.

Suppliers undertake: (a) to complete the KYB (Know Your Business) verification process by providing the required documents (commercial registry, certifications, etc.), (b) to publish accurate, up-to-date product listings compliant with Egyptian and international regulations, (c) to respect announced shipping deadlines and commitments made to buyers, (d) to offer only products whose export is legal from Egypt to the target countries, (e) to respect the intellectual property rights of third parties.

Buyers undertake: (a) to use the Platform in a professional B2B context (importing, distribution, processing), (b) to honor the payment terms agreed directly with suppliers, (c) to comply with the customs and tax obligations of the importing country, (d) not to misappropriate suppliers' contact details to abusively prospect outside the Platform.

egimpex manages no financial flow between buyer and supplier. Payments related to commercial transactions (international wire transfers, documentary letters of credit, DDP/FOB/CIF/EXW conditions) are made directly between the parties according to standard B2B export practices. egimpex is in no way responsible for payment defaults, commercial disputes or fraud that may arise between the parties. The only financial flows handled by egimpex concern SaaS subscriptions (Pro and Premium), billed via Stripe.

egimpex acts solely as a technical intermediary and provider of matchmaking services. We do not guarantee the quality of the products offered, the solvency of the parties, or the proper performance of the commercial contracts entered into via the Platform. Our liability is limited, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to the sums paid by the user under their subscription during the previous 12 months. egimpex cannot be held liable for indirect damages (loss of revenue, loss of customers, damage to reputation).

Content uploaded by suppliers (photos, descriptions, logos, certifications) remains their exclusive property. The supplier grants egimpex a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and promote this content as part of operating the Platform and the international marketing (newsletters, SEO campaigns, trade shows). The Platform-specific elements (design, code, trademarks, database) remain the exclusive property of egimpex.

The user may terminate their account at any time from their settings. Termination takes effect at the end of the current subscription period for paid plans. egimpex reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of breach of these terms, fraud, or behavior detrimental to other users or the Platform. Account data is retained for 3 years after termination to comply with our legal obligations (cf. Privacy Policy), then permanently deleted.

These terms are governed by French law for users established in the European Union (GDPR, professional consumer rights, SaaS compliance). Any dispute relating to use of the Platform shall be submitted to the competent courts in egimpex's registered office jurisdiction, unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise. Purely commercial disputes between a buyer and a supplier, in which egimpex is not a party, are subject to the contractual clauses agreed between them or, failing that, to commercial arbitration under the rules of the Alexandria Chamber of Arbitration, Egypt.
